Haze is characterized by fine particles of dust or smoke which obscure the sky. Dense haze, which can result from industrial pollutants, creates what is known as smog and may have adverse respiratory effects.
Haze forms when weather conditions remain stagnant for a considerable length of time. This enables the dust, smoke and other pollutants to loiter between the sky and ground until a wet weather system ushers it along.
The cause of haze is basically because of the burning of trees in Indonesia.It affected as the haze became worser and worser and people in singapore suffered as the PSI reading was too high for any activities.
